About Us

Opotiki Packing and Coolstorage (OPAC) was established in 1987 and initially packed 200,000 trays (720 tonnes) of kiwifruit.

Over the past 21 years OPAC has continued to go from strength to strength. A strong focus on customer service and helping our growers to get the best OGR possible has seen OPAC consistently developing systems and policies to help this. Currently OPAC supplies both Gold and Green Kiwifruit to ZESPRI through OGS. Most of our kiwifruit goes to the International market.

In 2009 OPAC packed over 5.5 million trays made up of 3.7 million trays of Green Kiwifruit and 1.8 million trays of Gold Kiwifruit. The 2010 harvest is looking to exceed this figure.
