Managing Director: Craig Thompson
Craig is Managing Director of OPAC. He has been involved in the kiwifruit industry since the mid 1980’s. Working his way from an orchard cadetship to his current role as Managing Director of OPAC, he has experience with nearly all aspects of the kiwifruit industry including a period of three years overseas with OPAC’s joint venture ZESPRI GOLD development in Italy. Craig is highly motivated and committed to the industry, has strong leadership skills and a large personal investment in the industry.

Operations Manager: Warren Short
Warren has been involved in the kiwifruit industry for 17 years at both ends of the supply chain, including three years with Zespri in New Zealand, then transferring to Zespri’s Belgium office for a further six years. In Belgium he was involved in functions for the operations team and sales/marketing team.
He joined OPAC in 2004 as Grower Services Manager, in 2008 he transferred to post harvest in the role of Logistics Manager and then in 2009 was appointed to his current role of Post Harvest Operations Manager. His role is to focus post harvest operations on delivering the best outcomes for OPAC and for OPAC supplying growers.

Commercial Manager: Ian Coventry
Ian first joined OPAC in a contracting role in 2007 and has since been involved in a number of projects improving financial processes and systems with the Finance Team, as well as working closely with the Field Team to enhance reporting and understanding of growing costs. During this time he has also developed his own orchard and through this experience, combined with his time at OPAC, has developed a broad understanding of the industry from both a grower and post harvest perspectives. Prior to joining OPAC Ian has worked in senior finance roles in the paper, forestry and meat industries.

Gisborne Operations Manager: Hugh O'Donnell
Hugh has 20 years horticultural experience in the apple industry from growing to harvesting. Hugh has a good knowledge of local conditions and Growers that will provide an important connection; ensuring that the Gisborne and Opotiki operations remain closely linked and complementing each other.
